Lissangle Caheragh Harness Racing Report, 14th June 2015

It was an emotional day for young Micheal O' Donovan who drove his first winner on Mr Security at Lisangle on Sunday. Micheal is a brother of the late “Red “John O' Donovan who tragically passed away last January and Micheal took over the running of “Red” Johns stable and gave Mr Security an assured drive coming from off the pace to grab victory by a head from Keystone Wingman with Hell Boy another head behind.

On the well presented track (Thanks to land owner Dan O' Donovan) there was some tremendous finishes. Saunders Picasso with Micheal Goggin Jnr in the bike followed up on his previous win to edge out Hillside Dartagnan and Supreme Sunshine in a blanket finish.

In the very next race Goggin almost made it a double aboard Little Benjio who looked to have done enough but was edged out by a neck by Talented Man with My Lightning Blue who had no luck in running back in third.

Lyons Stallone recorded his first local victory since his move from wales in the winter. Chris O' Reilly was oozing in confidence on this son of Silky Stallone eventually running away with a six length victory and looks well rated in the handicap to secure more of the same.

Thirteen year old Shelley Brickley took the only saddle race of the day on Ringo Kid.She eased this son of Timon Del Sol to the front with three furlongs remaining and ran out a six length winner.

Racing opened with a win for Beautys Harmony who led home Ringo Lady who got a very tough trip and Lubberachi who posted his best run to date.

The photo finish camera was called upon once again in the “Le Trot” series for Imported French Trotters. Volcan Erem led all the way but forty yard trailer Silviano Bello a winner last week in Portmarnock came with a spirited drive to capture the spoils by a neck.
