Meeting 7 - Bishopsland Caheragh Harness Racing Report - Saturday 10th July 2021.

Brutenor and Pan Cam Income both continued on their winning runs both making it three wins in a row at the well-presented Bishopsland Track on Saturday Writes Tim Kelleher.

Luke Kelleher took the catch drive on Brutenor for Hillside Farms with retained driver Patrick Hill opting to drive stable companion Aubade A Helene. The latter went off stride early allowing Eddy Marceaux to lead from Brutenor and Bibi Daipet.

The order remained the same into the final 200 yards where Brutenor led but Eddy Marceaux and Bibi Dairpet came back for more but Brutenor held on for a head victory in the blanket finish.

On the run to the line Pan Cam income got the upper hand and won by half a length for Co Clare based owner John Moloney.

Teddy Camden a winner a few weeks ago in Dunmanway enhanced his growing reputation taking the Top Grade Pace. Supreme Sunshine was the “Hare” this time and led for the opening lap with Teddy Camden sat in behind and race favorite Llywns Delight on a 30 yard handicap. Into the second lap Teddy Camden (who is trained at the track) was set alight and led with 2 furlongs to pace. All the while Llywns Delight was closing but couldn’t get to the leader and Teddy Camden had 2 lengths to spare at the finish.

Murphy took the opener on Hail Spartacus. Himself and On Top Big C had a battle throughout the race and were joined by Two Left Feet in the home straight. It was anybody’s race on the uphill run to the line but Hail Spartacus held on by half a length from On Top Big C with Two Left feet another half a length third.

Racing concluded with a grade G & G1 Pace and Limerick brothers John and Pa Manning dominated matters here with John coming out on top with the regally bred Last Pan Standing who shook off Greentree Euphoria driven by brother Pa after 6 furlongs and had to contend with a late surge from Royal Mint II but the post came in time.
